A Year On The Road - Reflections On An Amazing Year
Well, it was quite a ride!
Over 60,000 miles!
Almost two dozen airplane flights, over a hundred taxi rides, trains, boats, bicycles, motorhomes, and TukTuks.
At times, I would look at my wife and say, "What in the world were we thinking?" At other times, I would counter by saying, "We really hit it out of the park this time."
All in all, it was one of the most amazing, culturely deep, and entertaining periods of our lives. I learned more about my daughters than I'd ever be able to otherwise. My wife and I talked more about life and aspirations than you would have in most life times. The things we saw, tasted (though I could pass on some of it), heard, and lived through can only be experienced. Nothing you can write comes close to what you can traverse personally through.
And so, at last, it comes to a close... but don't worry. You can be the next inspiration for me by going on your own world adventure. You just have to eliminate all of those excuses.
'Cause once you have conquered your fears, made a plan, and bought your first plane tickets...
That's when your adventure begins.
